私たちは、人間社会を、個人や出来事の単なる集合ではなく、関係性や相互作用によって成り立つ複雑なシステムとして捉えています。
社会や組織、個人に生じる問題は、ひとつの原因だけによって起こるものではありません。多くの場合、それは目に見える出来事の背後にある構造、前提、認識の枠組みの中で生み出されています。
人は、出来事そのものを生きているのではなく、その出来事をどのように受け取り、どのような意味を与えるかによって世界を経験しています。そしてその認識は、身体や認知、社会的な関係や制度との相互作用を通じて形づくられ、時に固定化されていきます。
だからこそ私たちは、表面的な事象に対処するだけでは、問題の本質的な解決には至らないと考えます。必要なのは、問題を生み出している構造や前提、認識のあり方を捉え直し、その中に可変性を見出すことです。
本研究所は、個人、組織、社会におけるシステムレベルの変容を支援します。既存の枠組みを捉え直すことで、過去の延長線上にはない新たな選択や行動を生み出し、人と社会がより柔軟に、創造的に変化していくための知と実践を探究します。
私たちは、社会を固定された仕組みではなく、常に変化し続ける「生きた生態系」として捉え、その更新に貢献していきます。

We see human societies not as mere collections of individuals and events, but as complex systems shaped by relationships and interactions.
The problems that arise within societies, organizations, and individuals rarely stem from a single cause. More often, they are generated within the structures, assumptions, and frameworks of perception that lie beneath what is immediately visible.
We do not experience events simply as they are; we experience the world through how we perceive them and the meanings we give them. These perceptions are shaped—and at times solidified—through the interaction of the body, cognition, social relationships, and institutions.
This is why we believe that addressing surface phenomena alone cannot lead to fundamental resolution. What is needed is to re-examine the structures, assumptions, and ways of perceiving that generate a problem, and to identify the possibilities for change within them.
Our institute supports transformation at the system level across individuals, organizations, and society. By reframing existing structures, we seek to open up new choices and actions beyond a mere continuation of the past, while exploring the knowledge and practices that enable people and societies to change with greater flexibility and creativity.
We see society not as a fixed structure, but as a living ecosystem in constant evolution, and seek to contribute to its continual renewal.

私たちは、理論の構築と現場での検証を往復しながら、プロジェクトを設計しています。
その過程では、調査、分析、構造化、設計、実装を別々の工程として扱うのではなく、相互に関係し合う一連の実践として捉えます。現場から得られる知見を理論へと還元し、理論によって現実の構造を捉え直しながら、変化の可能性を具体的な取り組みへとつなげていきます。
理論と現実は、切り離されたものではありません。双方が相互に作用し、互いを更新していく実践の中にこそ、構造への深い洞察と、持続的な変化を生み出す力があると私たちは考えます。

We design our projects by moving back and forth between theoretical development and validation in practice.
In this process, we do not treat research, analysis, structuring, design, and implementation as separate phases, but as an interconnected continuum of practice. We bring insights from the field back into theory, while using theory to reframe the structures of reality and translate possibilities for change into concrete initiatives.
Theory and reality are not separate from one another. We believe that it is through a practice in which each interacts with and continually reshapes the other that deeper structural insight—and the capacity to generate lasting change—can emerge.
